The application installed over an iPhone mobile device and replaces the need for purchasing highly expensive dedicated devices of hydrometers readings.
Along with the iPhone application an online innovative content management system was built in order to manage and display hydrometers consumption information, images, GPS location, etc. of any reading carried. The CMS built using ASP.NET Framework 3.5 over Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and have the ability to produce various reports using Crystal Reports as well as display the location of each hydrometer accurately using Google maps.
This iPhone application:
    • Receives and sends data to / from the content management system.
    • Saves the time and reading value of the hydrometer as well as its location (GPS) and allows taking photos and uploading them to the central server.
    • Allows browse within the customers list, sorting and searching by keyword.
To set reading, the user must enter a user name and password provided by IWater Company. After verifying the username and password, the user can upload to the iPhone application a predefined hydrometers list for which a water reading will be carried out. The reading data stored within the IPhone device and sent back to the server updated.
